Brussels, Beans, and Bacon

This is part 1 of a three part meal! I’m starting off with side dish number one. Brussels sprouts and green beans with bacon. Yum!


1 lb. green beans, edges trimmed off
2 c. quartered brussels sprouts
1/2 package of bacon, diced
1/2 small yellow onion, diced
2 garlic gloves, rough chop


1. In a large skillet, cooked diced bacon on medium-high heat. Once it is fully cooked, drain on a plate with a paper towel.
2. Add the onions to the fat (if there is a lot, feel free to drain some of it). Cook for about a minute and then add the chopped garlic and cook for another minute.
3. Pour the green beans and brussels in and combine really well. Cover with a lid and allow to cook until the veggies soften. After about 10 minutes or so, the veggies should be fully cooked and you can add the bacon back in. Enjoy!
